Oct 7, 2021: The Gwadar East Bay Expressway, the most important mega connectivity and road infrastructure project worth $168 million, is expected to be completed this month.

The project was part of a larger $1.1 billion development package for Gwadar city and port. The Gwadar East Bay Expressway was a six-lane urban motorway and after its completion it met Gwadar Port with Gwadar Free Trade Zone and Makran Coastal Highway.

Economists and commerce experts said that Gwadar East Bay Expressway would be an important step in utilizing the full potential of Gwadar Port for trade, especially in the way it would help in connecting Gwadar Port with Gwadar Free Trade Zone.

It is worth mentioning here that the completion of Gwadar East Bay Expressway has done a lot for the coastal city. This will not only help Gwadar Port to take full advantage of its trade potential, but also make Gwadar an investment hub for business across Pakistan.
