According to the report of Baaghi TV, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that we talk about the problems of the people. Local bodies have been categorized in the world. According to the calculations, Karachi is one of the largest cities in the world and this city is being given a system of local bodies which has no power to build roads, no power, they cannot work with people.

So what is the use of such local bodies, that is why we are protesting. Why local bodies are not being given powers, Nematullah Khan was the mayor of Karachi. During his tenure, historic development work was done in Karachi.

In response to a question, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that MQM members joined the government with PPP and stayed together for one more year.  The city was built but no one was ready to speak when there was no water or electricity.

The strike was on non-issues. According to democracy, elections are held in parties, inheritance is based on will and dictatorship is not democracy. The PPP did not field a single candidate in East Pakistan.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman further said that the fake census has been accepted and now the elections will be held on the old census only. Jamaat-e-Islami helps the poor people, be it Gujjar Nala, Nasla Tower or any one of the first Jamaat-e-Islami raised its voice, no party including MQM was allowed to go to the people, not us either. Yes, we did leave, people do not need permission to go, politics is not about permission, it is about serving the people, people are disappointed with PTI, they are disappointed with MQM, so people are not leaving now.
