Pakistan wins Labaitum Excellence Award for providing outstanding services to the Hujjaj.
Our Special Correspondent Abdul Rehman Cheema reports from Makkah that Saudi Arabia conferred the prestigious Award on DG Pakistan Hajj Mission Abdul Wahab Soomro in recognition of his innovative leadership, administrative excellence and outstanding services.
The Labaitum Excellence Award is considered one of the highest honours by the Saudi authorities, granted to individuals and organizations demonstrating exemplary performance and innovation in the service of pilgrims.
It is also pertinent to mention that this is for the first time in history that a Pakistani Head of Hajj Mission has received this prestigious Award, making it a moment of great pride for the country.
Meanwhile, Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr Abdul Fatah Mishat has handed over a preliminary planning document and schedule for Hajj 2026 to Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf in Makkah.
