Lahore, 17th March: Another batch of 0.5 million COVID-19 vaccines from China has reached Pakistan.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, on Wednesday, a special plane arrived at Islamabad’s Nur Khan airbase from China carrying 0.5 million doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

According to reports from ARY News, the plane reached Islamabad at 12 pm, where the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan received half a million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine.

The sources have informed that jabs were to arrive in the country yesterday but got delayed due to some reasons.

Pakistan has purchased the 0.5 million doses from the Chinese firm at a discounted rate this time. The firm will provide more jabs in phases.

The National Institute of Health (NIH) already has approval for the emergency use of the Chinese vaccine.
