Hasan Ali Out of the National Cricket Team Due to Injury

LAHORE: Pakistan cricket team has suffered a major setback just before the first T20 match against England, as national team fast bowler Hasan Ali has been ruled out due to leg strain.

A statement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated that Hasan Ali, fast bowler for the national cricket team, will not participate in the first T20 match against England.

According to the Board, he will not be able to play due to a strain in his left leg. The cricketer has been advised to rest as a precautionary measure, instead of participating in the scheduled match at Trent Bridge on July 16.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has said that the medical panel will review Hasan Ali’s condition before the second T20 match.

It may be recalled that the first match of the three-match T20 series between Pakistan and England will be played at Trent Bridge today on July 16.

Setbacks like these aside, the ongoing pandemic COVID-19 has also been wreaking havoc for sportsmen the world over. Just recently, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was infected with the coronavirus and has been made to isolate.  The Delta variant has been speaking over the UK as well and care must be taken.
