Renowned for his ability to whip the ball with his wrists, Amla fought back from being dropped from the Proteas team in the early stages of his career to become one of the greatest batsmen in South African cricket history.
Hashim Amla scored 8 113 runs in 181 ODIs, with 27 tons and 39 fifties at an average of 49.46.He scored 9 282 runs in 124 matches, with 28 hundreds and 41 half-centuries at an average of 46.64 and in International T20s , he scored 1227 runs in 44 T20s at an average of 33.61.
Cricket South Africa pay homage to the renowned proteas cricketer for his international career spanning 15 years, in which he scored more than 18000 runs including 55 centuries and more than 88 half-centuries.
