Dubai: This is the first visit of an Israeli government official to the UAE since the agreement was reached between the UAE and Israel.

The head of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad has arrived in the United Arab Emirates following a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

The head of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad met with the UAE’s national security adviser during a visit to the United Arab Emirates to discuss bilateral security issues.

According to Emirati media, Mossad chief UC Cohen met with UAE National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi to discuss regional development and security cooperation.

This is the first visit by an Israeli official to the UAE since an agreement was reached last week between the UAE and Israel.

Under the agreement, Israel will no longer integrate the Palestinian territories. The two countries will jointly draw up a roadmap for bilateral relations.

According to the agreement, the United States and the United Arab Emirates will work together to establish relations with Israel and other Muslim countries. Muslims from Israels peace-loving countries  will be able to come to occupied Jerusalem and pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque. The UAE-Israel peace deal has been strongly condemned by Islamic countries.

UC Cohen, director of the notorious Israeli spy agency Mossad, was among those who played a key role in maintaining ties between Israel and the UAE.

Most media outlets say Mossad director UC Cohen has visited Abu Dhabi several times to try to maintain relations between Israel and the UAE.
