Heavy rains cause waterlogging in Karachi

Heavy rains along with strong winds in Karachi today caused waterlogging everywhere. More rains and thunderstorms are likely to occur. 

According to the Department of Meteorology, the sudden heavy rain around the city was caused by micro-bursts. Strong winds from all sides and rain fell from different directions.

Meteorologists say the sudden onset of heavy rains and strong winds in the microburst can damage trees and walls.

According to the Director of the Meteorological Department, there occurred thunderstorms in the northeast and east of the city, more rains are likely to occur in Bahria Town, Gadap, Malir, and surrounding areas and intermittent rains may continue in the city.

The director of the Meteorological Department said that thunderstorms could come again in the afternoon tomorrow and there could be heavy and torrential rains.
