High alert across the country after terrorist attacks in Balochistan
Following the terrorist attacks in Panjgur and Noshki areas of Balochistan, the Federal Ministry of Interior has issued a high alert across the country and directed to take additional security measures.
According to a letter, the Interior Ministry has directed the police, intelligence and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) of all the four provinces as well as Azad Kashmir to remain alert and keep a high level of vigilance. Praising the bravery of Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan officials in the statement, the ministry said that FC with its diligence foiled both the terrorist attacks in Balochistan yesterday.
Moreover, the letter said that along with the entire nation, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has also appreciated the bravery of FC. All intelligence and security agencies have been instructed to be extraordinarily high alert. The Interior Ministry directed LEAs to be fully prepared to thwart the nefarious aims of anti-state elements.
It may be recalled that on Wednesday, terrorists had tried unsuccessfully to attack the security forces’ camps in Panjgur and Noshki areas of Balochistan. On this occasion, 15 terrorists were killed and 4 soldiers were martyred in the exchange of fire between the terrorists and the law enforcement agencies.

Explaining the details, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid had said in a video message released on Twitter that 9 terrorists were killed and 4 soldiers were martyred in Noshki, while 6 terrorists were killed in Panjgur attack.
Furthermore, he said that the terrorists were repulsed from both the places and the Pakistan Army kept its tradition alive. In Panjgur, 4 to 5 people are under siege by the army. This is a great achievement of the Pakistan Army against terrorism. He also paid tribute to the security forces, saying that they were fully capable of fighting any kind of terrorism.

PM Imran Khan also paid tribute to the brave security forces for thwarting terrorist attacks in Balochistan and acknowledged their great sacrifices.
The premier said in a statement on social networking site Twitter that “we salute our brave security forces who repulsed terrorist attacks against security forces’ camps in Panjgur & Naushki, Balochistan. The nation stands united behind our security forces who continue to give great sacrifices to protect us.”

Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo also praised the security forces for thwarting the attacks, saying that terrorists must remember that they are facing the best army in the world that will defeat them on every front.
