Hindu extremists who attacked Owaisi's residence arrested

India: Minorities, especially Muslims, are in a vulnerable position in India particularly during the Modi government. Recently, the residence of the All India Majlis-e-Ittihad-ul-Muslimeen Chief Asaduddin Owaisi was vandalized.

According to reports, police claim to have arrested the men who vandalized the house of All India Majlis-e-Ittihad-ul-Muslimeen Chief Asaduddin Owaisi. Five persons were arrested.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the accused, who belong to Hindu Sena, were angry with Owaisi’s statements which is why they reached his house and ransacked the place. By the time the police reached the spot, the culprits had causes significant damage, including the main gate.

Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted on social networking website Twitter regarding the incident. “They came at a time when I wasn’t at home, which shows their cowardice. They were armed with axes and sticks, they pelted stones at my house and destroyed my name plaque.”

It should be noted that yesterday, Hindu extremists attacked the residence of Asaduddin Owaisi, National President and MP of the Majlis-e-Ittihad-ul-Muslimeen near parliament house, targeting and vandalizing the main gate, the window, and other places. Owaisi was not at home when they attacked.
