Srinagar, 14th June: A former Indian Police Chief says that the Hindus should be trained and armed in the occupied Kashmir.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, Sheesh Pal Wade, the former police chief in Occupied Kashmir, has advocated arming and training Hindus and forming village defense committees to kill Muslims in Occupied Kashmir.

Such committees are notorious for killing innocent Muslims in the border areas of Jammu and Poonch and Rajouri districts.

According to the South Asian Wire, the former Director-General of Police said in a media interview that arming all Hindus in the Kashmir Valley will increase the sense of security. The former DGP said that there was no problem in training and supplying arms to the Hindu minority in the Kashmir Valley.

Sheesh Pal Wade admitted how in 1995, as the SSP of Adhampur, he helped form the first village defense committee in Bagankot village, which was then part of Adhampur district.

The village is now part of the Reasi District, which was separated from Odhampur in 2007. He said that later the authorities set up VDCs in the Jammu region where Hindus are present in large numbers.

He also supported the formation of VDCs in Kashmir Valley saying that this formula has proved to be very successful.
