Hollywood’s Film Director and Producer Richard Donner Passes Away

Baaghi TV: According to foreign media, Warner Bros. has confirmed the death of famous film director and producer Richard Donner. The director and producer was 91 years old.

Richard Donner has directed a series of Superman, The Guinness and Deadly Weapons films, from the most popular modern superhero film “Superman” to the most memorable films of the 1970s and 80s. He also produced to the friendly police series “Lethal Weapon”.

Donner’s last film as a director 16 Blocks starring Bruce Willis was released in2006. He worked  Sylvester Stallone (Assassins), Gerard Butler and Paul Walker (Timeline) and of course Gibson.

Donner along with his wife Lauren Schuler Donner who is also a producer, produced dozens of films under their The Donners’ Company production banner including the X-Men franchise and introducing the world to Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. The latest part of X-Men series, The New Mutants, released last year in August.

Globally, those films grossed nearly $2.5 billion. The duo also produced 1993’s Free Willy which went on to make $153 million from around the world.
