LAHORE (1st Nov, 2019): On this day in 1989, Pakistan beat West Indies in the final of the Nehru Cup.

According to details, on 1st of November in 1989, Pakistan won the Nehru Cup after a thrilling victory over West Indies in the final in Kolkata. While chasing a target of 274 runs, Salim Malik from Pakistan scored incredible 71 runs.

Reportedly, Imran Khan was player of the tournament who took 3 wickets for 47 runs and also scored 55 runs while chasing a target. Wasim Akram hit the winning shot with a 6 off Viv Richards.
