Liam Hemsworth breaks his silence on replacing Henry Cavill as Geralt in The Witcher.
Since the takeover, Hemsworth says in his first interview, “I dealt with that sort of thing in the past a lot and, you know, at the end of the day.”
He added, “I just don’t want any of that to affect my way of telling the story that I’m trying to tell.” The actor went on to saying how he got off social media for a year to avoid the backlash for replacing Henry Cavill.

Additionally, Cavill, on the recasting choice calls his replacement “fantastic.” Wishing Hemsworth well, Cavill posted on Instagram saying, “As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men.
Lastly, he concluded by telling co-actor Liam to explore the character’s wonderful depth and try exploring it.

While briefing the viewers on what to expect, Liam tells the reporter, “He’s not in a good place at that point, physically. He’s severely injured.
