ICC World Cup 2019: England qualified for final after defeating Australia.

In the second semi-final of ICC World Cup 2019, England beat Australia by 8 wickets and qualified for final at Lords Cricket Ground.

According to reports of Baaghitv, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Australian team was bowled out on 223 runs in 49 overs. Steve smith top scored for Australia. He played fighting knock of 85 runs of 119 deliveries. He was run out by Jos Butler. Alex Carey scored 46 runs. Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid picked up 3 wickets each. Jofra Archer picked up 2 wickets.

Chasing a target of 224 runs, England comfortably scored 224 runs in 32.1 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. English opener Jason Roy scored 85 runs and Kohny Bairstrow scored 34 runs. Joe Root and skipper Eoin Morgan remained not out and scored 49 runs and 46 runs respectively. Mitchel Starc and Pat Cummins picked up a wicket each for Australia.

With this victory, England qualified for the final of the 12th edition of ICC World Cup 2019. England played the final of ICC World Cup in 1979, 1987, and 1992 prior to the 2019 World Cup final.
