New Zealand continued its successive campaign fir the ICC World Cup 2019 as the runner up of previous World Cup defeated Afghanistan by seven wickets.

According to reports of Baaghitv, New Zealand won the toss and asked Afghanistan to bat first. Afghanistan was bowled on 172 in 41.1 overs. Hashmatullah top score for Afghanistan, by scoring 59 runs.

Chasing a target of 173, New Zealand lost opener Guptill on the very first bal of the New Zealand innings. It was the 14th time Martin Guptil got out on duck. Later on New Zealand completed the run chase in 32.1 overs. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson’s 79 not out knock  guided team to victory. It was third victory for New Zealand in a row.
