In the 43rd ODI of ICC World Cup 2019, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 94 runs at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

According to reports of Baaghitv, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. Pakistan scored 315 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 50 overs. Imam Ul Haq top scored for Pakistan. He scored his first century of the World Cup. He scored 100 runs after which he got stump out on Mustafizur Rahman delivery. Babar Azam was unlucky as he missed his second century of World Cup by 4 runs. He played an innings of 96 runs which was his fastest innings in the World Cup.  Mustafizur Rahman picked up 5 wickets. Mohammad Safiuddin picked up 3 wickets.

Pakistan knocked out of ICC World Cup 2019.

Chasing a target of 316 runs, Bangladesh was bowled out on 221 runs in 44.1 overs. Shakib Al Hassan top scored for Bangladesh. He played fighting innings of 64 runs. Liton Das contributed with 32 runs. Shaheen Afridi was the best of the bowlers for Pakistan as he picked up career best 6 wickets by giving 35 runs in 9.1 overs. It was his maiden five-wicket haul in One Day Internationals. Despite the victory, Pakistan could not qualify for semi-final and finished on 5th spot in ICC Points Table.

Shaheen Afridi was awarded man of the match award for his career best bowling.
