In the 33rd ODI of ICC World Cup 2019, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 6 wickets at Edgbaston.

According to the reports of Baaghitv, New Zealand win the toss and opted to bat first. New Zealand scored 237 runs in their 50 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.James Neesham top scored for New Zealand as he scored unbeaten 97 runs of 112 balls. Colin de Grandhomme scored 64 runs. Shaheen Afridi picked up 3 wickets.

Chasing a target of 238, Pakistan lost opener Zaman on 19 runs. He scored 9 runs. Pakistan lost Imam-ul-Haq on score of 44. Haffez was the third batsman who got out on 110. He scored 32 runs. Babar Azam and Harris Sohail build a strong partnership of 126 runs. Harris Sohail scored 68 runs. Babar Azam scored unbeaten 101 runs. Pakistan chased target and scored 241 in 49.1 overs. Sarfaraz hit the winning runs and hit boundary first ball of last over. Trent Boult Kane Williamson and Lockie Ferguson picked a wicket each.

Babar Azam was awarded man of the match award for his brilliant innings.
