IHC announces decision in early age marriages case.

Islamabad High Court has announced a decision against early age marriages.

According to the reports of Baaghitv, Islamabad High Court Judge Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiyani has announced a verdict in early child case. In the written order Justice Kiyani has ordered to register a case against those registrars involved in early age marriages and cancel the registration of marriage registrars. Court has ordered to send the copy of this verdict to IGP Islamabad, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and asked them to ensure implementation of this decision.

IHC has termed early age marriages as a crime. According to data gathered through different cases being filed in IHC, names of 3 registrars always appear. Among 3 registrars, 1 registrar is nominated in 28 different FIRs.
