IHC to hear Zardari, Talpur’s bail petition tomorrow
ISLAMABAD, Dec 03 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday fixed petitions for hearing tomorrow seeking post-arrest bails of PPP’s Co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur in fake accounts reference.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Aamer Farooq would hear the bail petitions of Zardari and Talpur.
Zardari had stated in his plea that he had been suffering from multiple diseases and he needed medical care round the clock. He further stated that he had been made suffer on account of political victimization and wrongly implicated in many false and fabricated cases.
He said that he was a heart patient having three stents in his heart. The petitioner had also suffered from various other ailments such as diabetic, cervical lumbar and spondylosis, sensory and motor neuropathy with impaired proprioception.
The petition prayed the court to grant him post-arrest bail on medical grounds in Park Lane reference connected with fake accounts scam.
Meanwhile, Faryal Talpur stated in her bail petition that she had been arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on June 14, in fake accounts reference. However, the bureau couldn’t prove anything against her during five months investigation, she said.
She stated that she couldn’t be left on the mercy of jail officials and prayed the court to grant post-arrest bail to her. The two petitioners had nominated federal government and chairman NAB as respondents in their petition.
