Islamabad High Court has rejected Nawaz Sharif’s bail application filed on basis of health grounds.
According to the reports of Baaghitv, Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected bail application of former deposed and convicted Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif. The application was filed by lawyer Khawaja Haris on behalf of PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif seeking bail on health grounds.
Khawaja Haris contended in court that his client was suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes and heart-related problems and his treatment is not possible behind bars. Therefore the august court grant him bail on medical grounds. IHC turned down the plea. A two member bench of IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani read out the court’s orders.
Former deposed PM Nawaz Sharif is serving seven-year jail term in the Al-Azizia steel mills corruption case which was announced by accountability court last year.
