Indian forces have launched a massive search operation, targeting members of the business community in the Kashmir Valley of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian forces’ personnel conducted extensive searches of hardware stores, chemical shops, fertilizer outlets, and car dealerships in Nowhatta, Lal Bazaar, Shaheed Ganj, Chanapora, Rajbagh, Raj Mohammad Bagh (RM Bagh), Saddar, Qamarwari, Zadibal, Hazratbal, Soura, Harwan, Karan Nagar in Srinagar, as well as other towns and areas of the territory.

To justify the harassment and widespread search operations, the Indian forces are claiming that the checks are meant to ensure that hardware items or agricultural chemicals are not misused for unlawful activities.

Indian police officials said that extensive search operations were underway, which they claim are intended to ensure that no sensitive or regulated materials are diverted for unlawful activities.

During the operations, the forces examined stock, records, sale registers, licences, and sales procedures, including identity verification for bulk purchasers.
