Illegal madrassas or torture houses? Children chained and beaten, fed dry bread with no hope of action in sight.

Baaghi TV: About 25 years ago, a madrassa was allegedly constructed illegally at a Tarbela Dam site owned by Wapda in Padhana area of Haripur, KPK.

According to a private TV report, children as young as 14 and people as old 70 years, are imprisoned in chains in this madrassa, being made to urinate in bottles, and fed only dry bread as food. It is said that they are addicts, but chances of that are quite low, except for a few of them. If they are fraudulently brought here and locked up, someone has orchestrated this in attempts to usurp the property. The helpless prisoners cannot inform their families of what is happening with them since they’re not allowed allowed contact and anyone who attempts to do so is beaten severely wherein 4 people seize the person and beat him on the backside, the hip or the foot with a showerhead, rendering him unable to walk for days. A number of people lost their lives to this, with one being the son of Haji Manzoor, who was subjected to the same violence. Police caught the perpetrators on the way when they were going to dump his dead body in the lake.

There are many terrible, painful, angry stories within the walls of this prison-like madrassa. The people need help from us. The administration is deliberately silent, making excuses upon excuses to not do something about it. Over 180 tortured people await justice, and it is our duty to offer aid. This is violation of human rights and these people need help.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan: How long will these criminals continue to roam freely?
