Imam lynched by Hindutva goons in Jharkhand

In a tragic incident, an imam was lynched by Hindutva extremists while returning home after leading prayers at a mosque in India’s Jharkhand state.

The victim, identified as Maulana Akbar Hussain, was reportedly attacked in the town of Dumka.

Eyewitnesses reported that Hussain was falsely accused of theft and brutally assaulted despite his protests. Passersby found him injured and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Dumka’s Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Kumar, attributed the incident to mistaken identity related to a local theft.
