Immediate closure of Islamabad High Court

Islamabad, 2nd May: An order has been issued to immediately closed down the Islamabad High Court.

 

According to a report by Baaghi TV, the Deputy Registrar Admin of the Islamabad High Court has issued a circular according to which the court has been ordered to shut down.

The reports claim the presence of the coronavirus in the employee working in the writ branch. Due to the diagnosis of COVID-19 in one of the employee, a limited number of staff has been asked to come to court on Monday and Tuesday after full security measures.

Duty Additional Registrar and Control Room Duty Staff have been directed to appear before the court on Monday and Tuesday while staff of all other branches have been barred from appearing before the court. Instructions have also been given.

It may be recalled that the number of people infected with coronavirus in the country has reached 18,662 while 421 people have died. There are 365 cases of corona in the federal capital Islamabad out of which 4 people have died.
