The hearing on the bail petitions submitted by former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, along with Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, in the cipher leaking case filed under the Official Secrets Act has been postponed until September 9.

Due to the absence of Special Court Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain, no proceedings took place on Thursday, resulting in the adjournment of the case hearing. Judge Zulqarnain is on leave and is expected to return to duty on September 11.

PTI lawyers were present in court and requested that their petitions be scheduled for September 9. However, court staff informed them that Judge Zulqarnain would only be available on Monday, September 11, and suggested scheduling the petition for that date.

Despite this, the PTI lawyer insisted that if the judge was accessible on Saturday, September 9, they would be prepared to present their arguments. Consequently, the court staff scheduled their pleas for September 9, as per the PTI lawyers’ request.
