In Punjab, roof collapse after rains kills 13 people

According to Baaghi TV, torrential rains wreaked havoc in Punjab. Thirteen people lost their lives in roof collapses in different cities.

Roof collapses have occurred in Punjab cities of Lahore, Sheikhupura, Klar Kahar Phalia and Chiniot. Four siblings, including the mother, were killed when the roof of a madrassa collapsed in Phalia. Rescue teams rushed to the spot as soon as the incident was reported. The bodies and injured were shifted to the hospital.

The roof of a house collapsed due to rain in Millian Kalan village of Sheikhupura district of Punjab, killed a woman and a child and injuring seven others. In Chiniot, three people were injured when a roof collapsed.

The roof collapsed due to rain in Mouza Bhal of Klar Kaha Tehsil of Chakwal District of Punjab. Rescue teams have reached the spot, 3 people have been killed due to roof collapse.

At least four people, including a child, were killed and 11 others were injured when a wall of a building under construction in Harbanspura area of Lahore collapsed on a house next to it.

The wall of a building under construction in Harbanspura claimed many lives, a nearby dilapidated house caught fire, and many people lost their lives by being crushed under the rubble. Upon receiving the information, Rescue 1122 reached the spot and started rescue operations. After a struggle of three hours, the injured were taken out of the rubble and shifted to the hospital.

A 70-year-old woman was injured when a roof collapsed due to rain in Madina Town area of Faisalabad and she has been shifted to hospital for medical treatment.
