Baaghi TV: Nawaz Sharif’s appeal against sentence in Avonfield reference has been fixed for hearing. The Islamabad High Court has also fixed the appeals of Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar for hearing.

Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar are out on bail after suspension of sentence in Avonfield reference. The accountability court had sentenced him to imprisonment and fine on July 6, 2018 in the Avonfield reference. Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to ten years, Maryam Nawaz to seven years and Captain Safdar to one year. The first hearing bench of the Avonfield reference has been changed.

Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani will hear Nawaz Sharif’s appeal against the sentence in the Avonfield reference on September 1.

On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar will have to appear before the court on the appeal hearing. It should be noted that in the Azizia Steel Mills reference, an appeal against the sentence of Nawaz Sharif has also been fixed for hearing, which will be heard by a two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court on September 1.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Accountability Shehzad Akbar has said that on October 29, 2019, Nawaz Sharif was granted bail by the Islamabad High Court for 8 weeks.

Shehzad Akbar said that Nawaz Sharif is currently walking on the streets of London, Shahbaz Sharif guaranteed that Nawaz Sharif will return after treatment.

Nawaz Sharif was bound by his medical report to the government and the court. The deadline given on December 23, 2019 had expired. Nawaz Sharif sought extension of bail from the Punjab government. Nawaz Sharif was allowed treatment for 4 weeks.
