Independence Day: Lahore Police Operations Wing mobilizes against law breakers

Lahore 14 August 2021: On the occasion of Independence Day of Pakistan, Lahore Police Operations Wing cracked down on law-breaking elements.
Informing about the details, DIG Operations said that 03,000 police officers and personnel have been deployed on the occasion of Independence Day. Over 45 checkpoints have also been set up at various places to maintain law and order and prevent any kind of rioting, vandalism and other illegal activities.
The Lahore Police Operations Wing arrested 44 accused involved in one-wheeling and aerial firing on the night between August 13 and 14 and on Independence Day.
He said that 41 accused involved in one-wheeling were arrested and 30 cases were registered in different police stations of the city while three accused were also arrested and cases were registered against them. Over 30 motorcycles used in one wheeling were also stopped in the concerned police stations.
DIG Operations said that the police is on alert. The law will not allow it to be taken in hand. Action will be taken against aerial firing, rioting, one wheeling and misuse of loudspeakers.
