The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that Indian Army commander Lt. Gen. Manoj Kumar Katiyar’s claim about a possible “Pahalgam-style attack” once again exposes India’s malicious intent to stage false flag operations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to malign Pakistan and Kashmir freedom struggle.
The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that such provocative claims are part of New Delhi’s decades-old strategy to defame Pakistan and discredit the Kashmiris’ indigenous freedom struggle. “Each time India faces political or military embarrassment, it resorts to orchestrating attacks and then conveniently blames Pakistan without furnishing a shred of evidence,” the statement added.
The APHC noted that by spreading such baseless allegations, India aims to divert global attention from its gross human rights violations in the occupied territory and suppress the legitimate demand of Kashmiris for their UN-recognized right to self-determination.
The statement said that the Modi-led regime and its military establishment have a long history of using staged incidents to advance Hindutva and militaristic agendas, adding that blaming Pakistan has become a tool to justify repression and prolong occupation.
The APHC reaffirmed that Kashmiris’ peaceful struggle for freedom is rooted in international law and the UN Charter. It urged the international community to take note of India’s false flag designs, which threaten regional peace and stability.
The Hurriyat leadership reiterated that Pakistan and the Kashmiri people remain united and resolute in foiling India’s conspiracies and will continue their just struggle until freedom from Indian occupation is achieved.
