India reports highest daily jump of COVID-19 cases

Lahore, 14th March: India has reported the year’s biggest daily increase in COVID-19 cases on Sunday.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, India has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases on Sunday, with 25,320 new infections.

As per reports, a lockdown will be imposed from Monday in the western state of Maharashtra which is the epicentre of the renewed surge.

According to federal health data, this number of reported cases from Maharashtra state is the biggest since Dec 16.

As per reports, India is the third-most affected country worldwide with 11.36 million cases, after the United States and Brazil.

Sunday’s data showed that India’s COVID-19 deaths rose by 161 to 158,607 over the last 24 hours.

As per reports, Nagpur district in Maharashtra will lockdown on Monday for the first time since nationwide restrictions were lifted in June. The state has reported the highest number of infections with 2.3 million cases.

According to reports, with a population of 1.3 billion, the Indian government will vaccinate a fifth of the country’s people by August.
