Indian forces’ personnel have launched a crackdown on social media platforms in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Indian forces, during the operation against social media users, have booked and summoned dozens of individuals for uploading information about the current situation in the occupied territory.
Those detained or summoned by Indian police include Imtiyaz Ahmad Saad, Yaqoob Ahmad Dandroo, Arbaaz Irshad, Sajad Ahmad Lone, Danish Ahmad Ganie, among others. The police have warned people against posting any reports of atrocities or violence on social media, branding such uploads as the activity of “anti-India elements.”
In Ganderbal district, Indian police have intensified operations against individuals sharing information related to human rights abuses, atrocities, and the prevailing situation in the territory.
Meanwhile, Indian forces’ personnel, accompanied by intelligence agencies, have conducted raids and search operations at hospitals in IIOJK, including checking the lockers of doctors and medical staff at government medical colleges and hospitals.
During the operation, hospital authorities were instructed to update the records of every doctor and staff member and were warned against raising any voice regarding atrocities or the demand for the right to self-determination.
