Navjot Singh Sidhu, President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and former Indian Test cricketer, arrived in Pakistan to attend the 552nd birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak, the founder of their religion, performed religious rites and had food.

Talking to media, Navjot Sidhu said that steps would have to be taken to close the gaps. There is no bigger market than Pakistan. It would be a pleasure to open trade between Lahore and Gurdaspur.

Celebrations are underway in Nankana Sahib for the 552nd birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak. Sikh pilgrims from all over the world are engaged in performing religious rites.

A video of Indian cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu meeting with people on the occasion of his arrival in Pakistan is going viral on social media in which Pakistani officials can be seen welcoming him.

In the video, a man can be seen introducing himself as the CEO of Kartarpur, saying that he is welcomed by Prime Minister Imran Khan and the people of Pakistan. Pakistani officials welcomed Sidhu with garlands and rose petals.

“Imran Khan is my elder brother. He has given me a lot of love,” said the former Indian cricketer on arrival.

The video has caused a stir in the Indian media and is being propagandised for calling Imran Khan his elder brother.

It can be further seen in the video that Indian media is waiting for Sidhu on his return from Kartarpur so that they can ask him questions regarding his statement for Imran Khan. However, he ignored the media and remained seated in his car.
