India’s Independence Day: Black Day in Kashmir, Pakistani flags hoisted

Baaghi TV reports that Kashmiris around the world are celebrating Black Day today on India’s Independence Day.

Kashmiris around the world will stage demonstrations and rallies against India today on the occasion of India’s Independence Day, while a complete strike has been declared in occupied Kashmir. After the announcement of the strike in occupied Kashmir, the Indian administration imposed an unannounced curfew.

Senior Hurriyat leaders Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik today announced their protest against India, saying that India has no right to celebrate Republic Day in occupied Kashmir.

The Indian Army has tightened security in the name of security to prevent any possible protests in Occupied Kashmir.

Heavy contingents of Army and other security forces have been deployed in all other cities and areas including Srinagar. Extraordinary security arrangements have been made across the valley on the occasion of India’s Independence Day. Heavy deployment of forces has been carried out to deal with any possible disturbances while security personnel have been mobilized at key and sensitive locations.

On Pakistan’s Independence Day, Prime Minister gave an important message to Kashmiris

Intelligence agencies have revealed that militants may attack during the August 15 celebrations. However, in view of this, Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium Sonawar has been turned into a military checkpoint where the biggest Independence Day celebrations are to be held. Strict arrangements have been made around the stadium.

Roads leading to SK Stadium are sealed. In addition to CCTV cameras, the stadium is being monitored by drones.

According to South Asian Wire, not only vehicles are being searched but also passers-by have to undergo a thorough search by erecting barricades at various places. It is to be noted that full dress rehearsals were organized in all the districts of the valley yesterday amid tight security.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to the people to go on a complete strike on the occasion of India’s Independence Day on Saturday. Despite the deployment of large numbers of Indian troops, people waved Pakistani flags in Srinagar and other parts of the Kashmir Valley.

According to the South Asian Wire, hundreds of posters released by Warisan-e-Shuhada Jammu and Kashmir and Tehreek-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir in the entire region urged the Kashmiri people to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day as ‘Independence Day’ and India’s Independence Day as ‘Black Day’.
