Lahore, 25th June: International Islamic University rape case has taken a new turn.

According to reports, the International Islamic University rape case has taken a dramatic turn and the case is also under the scrutiny of higher authorities.

According to sources, Rashid Omar Olakh, a former student of the university, applied for registration of an FIR on the incident.

The petition states that on June 18, 2021, a case of alleged rape took place in the hostel of the International Islamic University.

It may be recalled that the incident of rape was reported on international and national media. On the other hand, the incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the university.

Earlier, it was said that no FIR has been registered against the university so far.

On the other hand, university officials say that the incident brought disrepute to the university. The incident affected the reputation of the university.

It is said that the petition also states that the act was committed with consent or coercion, in both cases, it is a police offense.

The petition also requested that an FIR be registered under the Pakistan Penal Code. The accused should be brought under investigation for registering an FIR.
