Srinagar, 8th June: Oppression by the Indian occupying forces continues in Occupied Kashmir.

According to reports, the Indian atrocities have increased in the Occupied valley of Kashmir and in just few hours 9 more Kashmiris have been martyred.

According to sources, at least 50 militants have been kmartyred in the Occupied Kashmir and the Line of Control since April, while 23 Indian soldiers have also been killed.

Indian officials and locals say the recent clashes erupted when a village in the southern part of the valley was cordoned off by police and the army on suspicion of the presence of armed men in the house.

Indian Army spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said that a clash broke out during which five people were killed.

Two more people were suspected to be in the besieged homes, a police officer said.

On the other hand, Radio Pakistan reported that Indian forces also cordoned off the Panjura area in Shopian district and killed four Kashmiri youths during a search operation, after which the number of Kashmiris martyred by the occupying Indian forces in 24 hours is 9.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Kashmiris protested against the actions of the Indian army and pelted stones at the Indian army as well as chanting slogans like ‘Go to India, go back’.

It may be recalled that on August 5 last year, India had abolished the special status of occupied Kashmir, after which a permanent curfew has been imposed there.

Curfews have been eased in recent months, but there is a complete lockdown in the valley due to the coronavirus.
