Lahore, 28th July 2020: Hum TV is a public limited company that is widely known for providing Pakistan the best quality entertainment. It has many other channels such as Hum Sitaray, Hum Masala along with Hum TV.
Sultana Siddique, the owner is known for bringing Hum to where it is today, all the success it has gained and the fame, all of it is associated with Sultana Siddique. Some even refer to Hum as Sultana’s baby.

Though Sultana Siddique isn’t the only one who has the authority to make decisions, her brother Jehangir Siddique, her daughter-in-law, Momina Duraid also has a say in how it’s run. Even her son Duraid is the CEO, but when it comes to making the final decision, Sultana Siddique is the person who has to approve of everything.
Kingsway, an asset management firm based in London, already owned 16.7% shares of Hum network, but it recently decided to add more to its portfolio. The company bought 16.5 million shares of Hum Network at Rs 8.90 per share, valuing the transaction at nearly Rs 147 million (about $900,000).

The new shares Kingsway bought have threatened Sultana Siddique and have challenged her power, authority, and say in the company.
Though public companies make it easier to raise funds, they always have a threat of a possible takeover, that Sultana has to deal with currently.
