LAHORE 27th July: Former finance minister Ishaq Dar’s house was taken into custody by the Lahore Development Authority on Saturday.

Acting upon the directive of the National Accountability Bureau, LDA took the residence into custody. State Commissioner Model Town Zeshaan Ranjha, who led the operation, said that the residence has been sealed.
Earlier this year, NAB contacted Interpol for the extradition of ousted premier Nawaz Sharif’s sons, Hassan and Hussain, and the former finance minister. Son-in-law of the former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, Mustafa Amjad including several suspects had been termed absconders by the court in several corruption cases.

NAB Chairman, Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal had issued directives to bureaus of the anti-graft watchdog for extraditing all the suspects. In light of these directives, the bureaus have started taking initiatives for bringing back the accused.
