Ishtiaq Ahmed’s ‘Inspector Jamshed’ turns into a Web series

Lahore, 13th September: Boomers, Gen X, and Millennials get ready because your favourite Urdu detective series ‘Inspector Jamshed’ by Ishtiaq Ahmed is turning into a web series and it will soon be available on OTT platforms.

On 5, September 2020, C1 Shorts released the trailer of the upcoming series and we are super stoked to see our favourite childhood characters come to life.

The caption of the trailer stated ‘Pakistan’s most favourite Detective Stories – Dot Republic Media presents Inspector Jamshed Series, written by renowned Pakistani author Ishtiaq Ahmed; the #CreatorsOne digital series is being directed by Fahad Noor.’

The detective series will serve the same purpose as Ahmed’s novels and will work towards teaching valuable life lessons to the younger generation by focusing on locally relevant and meaningful content.

It will narrate the exciting adventures of Inspector Jamshed and his kids – Mehmood, Farooq, and Farzana- as they solve mysteries together and save the day. The web series adaptation is produced by Adnan Butt and has been directed by Fahad Noor.

As of yet, by looking at the trailer for the web series, it looks very promising as its cinematography and sound quality seem great so far and the trailer has gotten the viewers super thrilled for the actual product.

Other than Inspector Jamshed, Ishtiaq Ahmed has authored numerous suspense thriller novels for children in Urdu as well, which includes Inspector Kamran Mirza and Shoki Brothers series.

He also wrote books called ‘Khas Numbers’ in which all three detective parties would work together to solve crimes and cases.
