The text of the resolution said that Muslims are a peaceful nation but their honor is being challenged. The entire Muslim Ummah curses the French President for his blasphemous actions. The release of the blasphemous sketch at the behest of the French president has offended Muslims around the world. Numerous such hateful activities can be seen on Facebook, due to which the hearts of the entire Muslim Ummah, shed tears of blood.

The text of the resolution further states that such hateful activities are seen on Facebook. No matter how much they are condemned, it is an unforgivable crime. The government should talk to the head of Facebook, and make immediate arrangements to remove anti-Islamic content from Facebook and social media, which is leading to an increase in hate, extremism and violence globally.

PM Khan writes to Facebook CEO demanding ban on Islamophobic content

This House of the Punjab Assembly, the entire Pakistani nation and Muslims all over the world condemn this blasphemous act in the strongest terms. We call on the government to end diplomatic relations with France and immediately ban all its items. So that no future country would even think of committing such an insult.

Earlier, President Dr. Arif Alvi called for a change in Europe. Denouncing the Holocaust as a crime and allowing abominable sketches are hypocritical laws.

In a message on the social networking site Twitter, the President said that extremists benefit when such heinous acts are allowed in the guise of freedom of expression. Denying the Holocaust is a crime in most of Europe, and yet insisting on allowing public display of insulting, blasphemous cartoons? President Alvi stressed such hypocritical laws must be changed.

Earlier, Pakistan strongly condemned the organized Islamophobia campaign in the name of freedom of expression. The Foreign Office said that Pakistan strongly condemns the insulting acts and desecration of the Holy Quran against the greatness of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) in some developed countries. We are further appalled by the disturbing statements made by some politicians, who, under the guise of freedom of expression, justify such heinous acts and link terrorism to Islam only for political gain.
