Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen’s bail extended

Lahore, 3rd May: PTI leader Jahangir Tareen and his son Ali Tareen’s bail has been extended.

Regarding the sugar scandal case, the bail of PTI’s Jahangir Tareen and his son Ali Tareen has been extended till May 19.

The case against the father-son duo was heard at Lahore’s banking court on Monday.

According to reports, last week the government changed the head of the Federal Investigation Agency-led a joint investigation team (JIT) investigating the matter of the sugar crisis in Pakistan.

FIA Lahore Director Dr. Muhammad Rizwan was replaced with Additional Director Abu Bakar Khuda Baksh as an inquiry officer.

Jahangir Tareen’s lawyer presenting his case in front of Abu Bakar Khuda Baksh said that the FIRs against his clients are not true with many errors related to the wrong money figures.

The lawyer said it is possible after investigation, FIA may dismiss the case.

The banking court in Lahore adjourned the case till May 19.

It is to be noted that Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen have been booked by FIA under fraud and money laundering cases.
