Tehreek-e-Insaf member Raja Riaz, member of the National Assembly and as well as of the Jahangir Tareen group, stated that if asked for resignation from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he will do so, but he will not abandon Jahangir Tareen.
According to reports, in the next few days, the politician will be making a joint decision. He said resigning forcibly under pressure can harm the party, however, if called to do so, he will do it.
It should be noted that on the instruction of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister for Political Affairs, Aun Chaudhary sought resignation from the party, after being accused of lobbying for the Jahangir Tareen Group. He was summoned by the Chief Minister and resigned from his position.
After giving the resignation, Aun Chaudhry said, “I was called to the Chief Minister’s Office and asked to withdraw from the Tareen group or resign. Everyone appreciates Jahangir Tareen’s services to the party, as he played an important role in the 2018 elections, as well as in the formation of the government in Punjab and the Centre. I prefer resignation instead of leaving the Jahangir Tareen Group.”
