Jahangir Tareen Rubbished Media Reports on Account of GIDC
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Pakistani business magnate Jahangir Khan Tareen has condemned the false media reports and propaganda against him.
According to the media reports, Jahangir Tareen was among the beneficiaries of Rs 210 billion waiver announced by the federal government on account of Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC).
In his statement on Twitter, Tareen said, “False news at its peak these days. Story re my connection with any Fertilizer company in any form is totally concocted and malicious . I do not own any shares in any GIDC affected company and neither do any of my family members.”

While justifying the waiver given on GIDC, the federal government on Monday (yesterday) said that there would be no free lunch for influential industrialists, rather a forensic audit would be conducted.
Unsurprisingly, for very obvious reasons and his undiluted support to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Jahangir Khan Tareen is often a victim of false news and bad press. Media should report the truth rather than promoting fake journalism and propaganda.
