Lahore, 21st July: Pakistan’s investigative journalist and anchorperson Asad Kharal was arrested for beating and firing at police officials in Lahore.
According to details, Asad Kharal was arrested on Wednesday after he fired at police officials. Hence, an FIR has been registered against him in Lahore Kahna police station.
According to reports, a day earlier, Kharal reportedly beat two police officials and tore their uniforms. These officers were deployed for his security in line with a local court’s order.
Soon after the incident, police officials reached the site to investigate the matter.

Upon inquiring, Kharal informed he wanted to resolve the matter through dialogue. When the officers went into the journalist’s house, he locked them inside.
According to details, after locking them inside he shouted at them. The officers were, however, able to escape and save their lives.
