Veteran journalist and publisher Arif Nizami passes away

Lahore, 21st July: Pakistan’s veteran journalist and publisher Arif Nizami passed away on Wednesday.

According to details, Arif Nizami was sick for quite a long time and undergoing treatment in a hospital.  He breathed his last today.

Arif Nizami was the son of Hamid Nizami, the founder of Pakistan’s national newspaper Nawa-e-Waqt. Arif was the former caretaker federal minister and the founder of the Pakistan Today

Indian Journalist Fired Over Tweets About Modi

Meanwhile, renowned anchorperson Mubasher Lucman and other journalists expressed their grief over such a huge loss and prayed for his forgiveness.

Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry also expressed grief over the demise of senior journalist Arif Nizami.

Mubasher Lucman urges public to take precautions during Eid-ul-Adha

Chaudhry shared a heartfelt message on his Twitter handle and wrote, “I am heartbroken to hear of the demise of Arif Nizami. I had a long relationship with him. His father Hameed Nizami and my grandfather Chaudhry Owais and uncle Chaudhry Altaf Hussain were his companions in Tehreek-e-Pakistan. May God have mercy on his soul.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan also expressed condolences to Arif Nizami’s family and prayed for his Higher ranks in Jannah.

Arif Nizami’s funeral prayers will be offered in Lahore today.
