Journalist shot dead in front of Lahore Press Club

Lahore: Two unidentified persons today (Monday) targeted and killed a journalist of a private news channel in front of Lahore Press Club (LPC).
As per details, Husnain Shah, crime reporter of Capital TV was driving his applied for Honda Civic at the Davis Road, going back to home from his office when at the signal infront of Lahore Press Club two unidentified persons targeted the journalist and killed him by firing gun in the chest with eleven bullets.
Eye witnesses said that Shah succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot.
They  said that one of the accused fired eleven bullets at deceased in the car and fled away from the scene as 8f nothing was happened.
The journalist has died on the spot and was rushed to the hospital for autopsy.

Family sources said that they have no animity with anyone.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan took notice of the incident of killing of private TV channel journalist (Crime Beat Reporter) Hasnain Shah by firing on a car outside Shimla Pahari Press Club and sought a report from CCPO Lahore. IG Punjab directed to ensure arrest of accused with the help of Safe City cameras at the soonest. Rao Sardar Ali Khan directed DIG Investigation Lahore to investigate the incident and ensure justice for the family of the slain journalist. IG Punjab expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Hasnain Shah. IG Punjab directed the officers of Lahore police to keep in close touch with the family of Hasnain Shah and use all available resources to provide them justice. DIG Investigation and DIG operations Lahore visited Press Club Lahore and met the family of the slain journalist.
While severely reacting against the cold-blooded murder of the journalist in broad daylight, Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists- workers, Lahore Press Club and various other journalists bodies have strongly condemned the killing of a journalist outside Lahore Press Club.
Senior crime reporter of Capital News TV, Hasnsin Shah, has been gunned down by unknown assailants in front of Lahore Press Club on Monday when he was coming to Club from his office.
In a statement president PFUJ- Workers Pervaiz Shokat and Secretary General Raja Riaz said that the government has failed to protect the lives of the media persons and they have become the victim of terrorism in the country.
Attack on a journalist in front of LPC has rendered a wave of shock in the entire journalist community. “It is a total failure of Lahore Police that in proving incapacitate to protect the lives of the citizen. The PFUJ- Workers demands arrest of the culprits earliest,” It concludes.
