Lahore, 21st May: Just 12 hours after the ceasefire in Gaza began, Israeli police have stormed into the Al Aqsa Mosque compound.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, Israeli forces have shelled the worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday. Israeli forces have fired bullets and shells at women and children.

IDF soldiers fired stun grenades and rubber bullets to disperse a group of Palestinians who wanted to walk into Jerusalem’s old city after the Friday Jumah prayers.

The Jewish troops also attacked the worshipers with tear gas and grenades. The Israeli attack has threatened to the ceasefire overnight.

A video has been shared on Twitter regarding the incident that took place today in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

However, according to previous reports, there was a ceasefire between the Israeli army and Hamas this morning, which has now been threatened by Israeli troops since its inception.

Meanwhile, after a ceasefire agreement was reached between Israel and Hamas, civilians came out in Gaza celebrating with flags and chanting slogans.

The Palestinian militant group Hamas has also said in an immediate response that it will respect the ceasefire agreement.

The United Nations has stopped the Israeli attacks on the Palestinians. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has also said that a ceasefire is welcome after 11 days of deadly hostilities. Egypt and Qatar provided special assistance to the United Nations in restoring peace.
