#JusticeForZahra: Notable women stand united on Twitter
Lahore, 9th July: Yesterday a horrific incident of domestic abuse was reported from Rawalpindi, after which hashtag #JusticeForZahra started trending on Twitter.
According to the report by Baaghi TV, a woman Sadaf Zahra was murdered by her husband, being regularly abused by him and reportedly he was cheating on her too.
Ali Salman is a journalist and a columnist, who advocated women’s rights. What’s the use of all the facade when he was practicing domestic abuse with his own wife?

Yesterday Twitter started a thread on Justice For Zahra, where people from everywhere expressed their anger on Ali Salman, the killer husband.
It is reported that an FIR has been filed against him by the victim’s family. They have accused Ali of the murder charges of Zahra who was found hanging by the ceiling of her home.
Twitteratis, have been pouring condolence messages on the page and are raising their voice to put an end to the domestic violence and justice be prevailed. Zahra’s husband Ali Salman should be hanged just like the way he did to his wife.

It is interesting to note that among family, and friends of Sadaf Zahra and the general public, few notable women also expressed their feelings on this issue and supported the cause of domestic violence.
Asma Shirazi tweeted that she was shocked to hear about the incident of Sadaf Zahra being murdered by her husband. It may be noted that the husband Ali Salman Alvi was working for the anchor and journalist Asma Shirazi, he was the producer of her show Current Affairs.

The infamous Reham Khan did not waste any time tweeting on the same issue and said that she will be following the case of JusticeforZahra herself.

These days the woman of controversies, Cynthia Ritchie has for once stood up for the rightful cause finally. Miss Ritchie wrote on the page that domestic violence needs to end. She pointed out, “what are these ‘Aurat Marches’ for if they can not give justice to women like Zahra.”

PPP Senator Sehar Kamran tweeted on Sadaf Zahra’s thread against domestic abuse that we still live in dark ages where domestic abuse takes innocent lives.

Javeria Siddique, a journalist, and a columnist who always stand for women’s rights summed the whole incident in powerful words. She said that if your husband beats you up, doesn’t give you proper rights as a wife, and plays around with other women, then don’t think for a second. Throw out such a person from your life and don’t think about what the world would say?
