Karachiites suffering from loadshedding of upto 12 hours

Karachi: K-Electric has started load shedding again in the name of load management and maintenance at night.

According to the reports, K-Electric started load shedding in the city again justifying the reduction in power generation of Bin Qasim Power Plant, after which the duration of load shedding in the city reached 12 hours.

K Electric also sent SMS to customers in areas exempted from load shedding.

According to sources, load shedding is being carried out on 1100 feeders on the pretext of reduction in power generation. Out of 1600 feeders of K-Electric, 75% feeders are undergoing load shedding.

Areas of Karachi affected by load shedding are; Musa Colony, Ahsanabad, Nazimabad, Aurangabad, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Landhi, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Paposh Nagar, Issa Nagri, Baldia Town, Qaim Khani Colony, Korangi, Site, Landhi and many other areas.

Despite filing a complaint at the K-Electric Complaints Center, power supply in the city has been suspended for hours. Citizens are also facing water shortage due to lack of electricity.
