Kashmala Tariq accused of misuse of power
Lahore, 13th October: Kashmala Tariq, the current Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplaces has been accused of misusing her powers.
According to Baaghi TV, in the case of Kashmala Tariq’s misuse of power, the court has once again issued notices to the parties seeking their response.
The hearing was conducted by Athar Minallah, Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court. Farhan Advocate said that Kashmala Tariq is accused of illegal recruitment. Kashmala Tariq has not responded to the accusations yet.
Advocate Farhan said that Kashmala Tariq made illegal recruitments on grades 16 and 18, Rehman Shehzad was illegally recruited as a legal consultant, and the Federal Registrar of Ombudsman for Anti-Harassment was illegally promoted to Grade 18.
Advocate Farhan said that Kashmala Tariq is accused of several irregularities in the institution, the court has adjourned the hearing for 2 weeks.
